Green Cleaning technologies have come a long way since we first became aware of the harmful effects of industrial cleaning chemicals on both our health and the environment. The benefits of Green Cleaning have been shown not only to be friendlier to the environment but to have a positive effect on our health as well. As an early regional leader in Green Cleaning, we have spent years researching products and methods that protect the environment, and our clients' health, while still getting the job done. 

 

While we make every effort to use Green Seal and EcoLogo certified products, some green products are much less effective for industrial use. Consequently, this results in a decrease in performance quality, which in effect leads to an increase in the frequency of use as well as the impact on the total environmental footprint. As an alternative in these instances, we utilize a Green Process by carefully selecting low impact/low dilution products, which have a Greener sum impact. 

 

Our clients have ultimate discretion on the use of any alternative products or processes and may decide instead to use only Green products.

Prevention:

By installing a system of industrial-strength entryway mats in a high-traffic building entrance, we can decrease the amount of soil and moisture entering a building.  This helps reduce the need for additional treatment and maintenance and minimizes the costs that come with removing them.

 

Products:

All our Green cleaning solutions are high-performing workhorses, without the toxicity levels of traditional products.  Meeting the guidelines developed by the OGS, the products we use help to minimize the harmful effects on the environment and our clients that comes from the day-to-day exposure to chemicals in our working environments.

 

All the paper products and plastic garbage liners we use meet the EPA’s guidelines for disposable janitorial products. By opting for unbleached paper supplies without added pigments, inks, dyes, or fragrances, that have been carefully packaged, we are able to maintain a high standard of service while maintaining a minimal environmental impact. 

 

We use Microfiber technology in place of disposable paper cleaning products to reduce chemical and water consumption and waste, wherever appropriate.

 

We use OGS-approved skin cleanser to replenish hand soap dispensers that remove unnecessary microbial ingredients and skin irritants. Each OGS-approved skin cleanser is biodegradable and has been thoroughly tested to limit the impact on aquatic ecosystems.

 

Equipment:

All of our janitorial equipment cleans effectively while minimizing environmental impact, and maintaining a noise level under 70 A-weighted decibels. 

 

• Our dual motor vacuum cleaners capture 96% of particulates down to 0.3 microns, allowing for a faster and more efficient clean. 

 

• Our Truck Mounted Extraction and Steam Cleaning machines offer self-heating, water pump pressure of 1200psi with a 100-gallon cleaning and recovery tank.

 

• Our CRI-approved Blue line and Blue Wave carpet extractors, allow for quick soil removal while utilizing quick-dry/low moisture encapsulation that helps maintain overall appearance while still meeting Green standards. 

 

• Our Clipper DUO, a LEED-compliant machine that incorporates iCapsule cleaning technology that allows carpets to be dry and ready for traffic approximately 20 minutes after treatment.

 

• All of our equipment uses gel batteries to protect the environment, rubber bumpers to avoid damaging furniture and other surfaces and is ergonomically designed to minimize vibration, noise, and user fatigue.

 

• Our automatic scrubbing and buffing machines are equipped with variable-speed feed pumps to control the flow of cleaning fluid.
